A simple wearable test for intermittent heart symptoms
A standard ECG only records a short snapshot of your heart rhythm. A Holter monitor records continuously while you go about your normal daily routine, improving the chance of capturing rhythm changes that come and go.
Do not ignore symptoms that keep returning
Many patients assume palpitations are caused only by stress, caffeine or poor sleep. These can contribute, but ongoing or unexplained symptoms should be assessed properly.
Early heart rhythm assessment can help detect issues such as atrial fibrillation, support better treatment decisions and provide reassurance when findings are benign.
Early monitoring may support
- Earlier detection of abnormal rhythms
- Better matching of symptoms to heart rhythm
- Reduced uncertainty and anxiety
- More informed treatment decisions
- Stroke risk review in selected patients
- Preventive cardiology planning
Wearable integration
Smartwatch alerts can be useful, but they are not always diagnostic. We review wearable data alongside your symptoms, medical history and formal Holter results.
AF screening
Atrial fibrillation can be intermittent and sometimes silent. Screening may be useful for selected patients, especially where symptoms or risk factors are present.
Preventive cardiology
Some patients benefit from broader review including blood pressure, cholesterol, lifestyle risk factors and long term cardiovascular prevention planning.
Your appointment in brief
